Water in the V8 fuel tank by Keith (September 29th, 2008) This is a link to my recent events blog about mis-firing on cornering which turned out to be a water in the fuel tank problem. Water in the Tank
I think water doesn't go down the jets very well so the problem never goes away unless cleaned out. Regular use also helps.
Wife: "There's trouble with the car. It has water in the carburetor." Husband: "Water in the carburetor? That's ridiculous." Wife: "I tell you the car has water in the carburetor." Husband: "You don't even know what a carburetor is. Where's the car?" Wife: "In the swimming pool." | |
Still here by Keith (December 1st, 2007) We (Keith and Som) are still here despite not much activity over the year. The NG looks a little bit down with much of our effort going on other projects. Also the demise of the national rally this year and others being a bit far meant that we didn't do that much in the NG. We had a few local meetings, plus the excellent trip to the coachworks. We are looking forward to using the NG more next year (in between respraying the Morris).

Visit to Coachworks near Lyminington by Keith (December 1st, 2007) This was a very interesting visit to a coachworks that did full restorations mainly to previously hand built vintage and classic cars. Being hand built these are some of the most expensive restorations you can imagine. One figure mentioned was £750,000. The cars ranged from Bentley to Maserati, racing Ferrari and the like. Plus some specials. Most were aluminium bodies and the work being done was incredibly good. This type of restoration is at the oposite end of the scale to my lowly little old Morris.
Many thanks to Michael for organising this outing.

| NG Exbury Gardens Visit - 7 Oct 06 by Keith (June 1st, 2007) The NG visit to Exbury was very good. Nice run through the forest and a good turnout makes organising it really worthwhile. Thanks for supporting it. (bit delayed in posting the pics but at least they are here ) | |
